Neat and secure

Stainless steel liner rim flips up for a quick and easy liner change, then closes over the liner to hold it tightly in place and keep it hidden from sight.

The strong, silent type

Our strong steel pedal is engineered to last over 150,000 steps — that's more than 20 steps a day for 20 years — and our patented lid shox technology controls the motion of the lid for a slow, silent close.

Cleaner stainless steel

Our invisible silver-ion coating resists fingerprints and the spread of germs without dulling the natural sheen and luster of the steel (brushed model only).

Pod in, odours out

Our all-natural odorsorb pod fits discreetly under the lid of your Simplehuman bin to eliminate rubbish odours.

Perfect fit, extra strong

Our code J custom fit liners fit this bin perfectly so there's no bunching, slipping or messy bag overhang for a neater, cleaner look. They are also extra-thick and double-seamed so you can pack your rubbish to the rim without rips, leaks or tears.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lid is making a squeaking sound.

Open the lid from the trim portion. Locate the steel chrome rod at the rear of the unit and wipe and lubricate it using WD-40 or similar lubricant.

Lid stays open after changing liners or is slamming shut.

To close the lid properly, separate the lid and trim with your hand and manually push the trim down. When pushing it down, you will hear a slight noise. The noise you are hearing is normal and will not harm the bin in any way.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean stainless steel weekly with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild detergent. DO NOT use steel wool, stainless steel polisher, bleach, salts or acids as these will damage the product. Or use our microfibre mitt, which just uses water on one side to wash and the other dry side to wipe and polish. Our stickers should not leave residue, but if this happens, remove using adhesive removers such as “Goo-Gone®”, “Un-du®” or “De-solv-it®”. Be sure to rinse the area with water and dry with a soft cloth.
